Hello Barboursville Seniors;
January is here and another New Year begins! We are making a push to get more Seniors involved with the Senior Center here in Barboursville. We have so much to offer and would like to share what we have with more of the Seniors that live in and around the city. Some of our activities are, WII Bowling, Bingo, Movies at the center, as well as at the Mall, $2 lunches and Brunches, Free Exercise Class, Free Line Dance Class, Free Knitting Class, Bible Study, Essential Oil Classes, Day Trips, Paint Classes, exercise equipment, (2 Tredmills,2 Stationary bikes, and an Elliptical) available for your use, and much, much more. We would like to take this time to invite anyone that is 50 years or more, to come and visit our facility. Join in some of the many projects that we have happening. We think that we have something for everyone, so please feel free to come and take advantage of what we have to offer.
On the first Thursday of each month ,Jan.(4th) we have a Free Luncheon at the Senior Center. The Center supplies the Meat, and the seniors bring a Dessert, Drink, Or Side Dish. January’s Meat will be Chicken Tenders, Honey Mustard. Bring a Side Dish and come and join the Seniors for Lunch at 12 o'clock.
Robert Trippet and The Starlight Band will be here to entertain us on the first Saturday of each month, Jan. (6th). Good fun for seniors, whether you dance or just watch the fun and socialize. Our facility is an Alcohol and Tobacco Free Area.
This month we will also be having some Lunch and a Movie Day at the Senior Center, instead of our usual Tuesday Day Trips. We will try to keep you inside and warm during the cold months that are coming up. Remember lunch is only $2.00.
The last Saturday of each month, Jan. (27th), the area Churches will Sponsor a Free Community Dinner. This dinner is held from 3pm — 4:30pm. Everyone is welcome to participate and socialize with friends, and make new friends. Our goal is to help keep our seniors active and social, with your participation, we will be successful. But we can’t do it without you. Happy New Year!

Learn To Speak Spanish
The Senior Center will be offering a Spanish Class, beginning Weds. March First. Johnathan McCormick, from Marshall University will be the Instructor. Jonathan will be giving FREE Spanish Classes here at the Barboursville Senior Center. Please come and take part in the class. If you have ever wanted to learn a language, Now is your chance to do so, as well as keeping your brain stimulated and active.
Thursdays - 12 PM
Bring - Canvas Board, Canvas, or any other item that you want to paint on. Brushes and Paints will be provided for the first
